Minor Midget Coyotes' C.J Sharp and Brycin Morrison selected to Team OMHA U-16 hockey club.

C.J Sharp and Brycin Morrison will get a head start on their Minor Midget hockey season. The 2 boys, who play for head coach Mike Gartner, have been identified for selection to Team OMHA U16 20-player roster. Team OMHA will compete in a 6 Team Tournament to be hosted August 12-15, 2010 in Kitchener for the purpose of identifying players for selection to Team Ontario at the Canada Winter Games to be hosted in Halifax, Nova Scotia in February 2011. This is certainly a great accomplish and the entire Coyotes organization wish both C.J and Brycin the best of luck in Kitchener.

SCC Zone Graduate Jason Wilson selected by the New York Rangers at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft

Current SCC players take note - it is never too late to get noticed. Jason Wilson is the latest example of how patience and perseverance can pay off for "late blooming" hockey players. Jason, born in 1990, was selected in the 5th round of this past weekend's NHL entry draft by the New York Rangers. While with the SCC zone, Jason played for head coach Joe Arruda for 6 seasons. Current Coyotes Minor Bantam coach Robert Shilton served as Jason's assistant coach for 2 seasons. During his time with the zone, Jason played alongside Brandon Burlon (2nd round New Jersey Devils draft pick) and won 1 OMHA Gold Medal. The Coyotes wish Jason continued success with his hockey career.

Coyotes Goaltender Robert Dunsmuir Selected in the 2010 OHL Entry Draft

The South Central Coyotes are very pleased to announce that Robert Dunsmuir was selected in the 2010 OHL Entry Draft held on Saturday May 1st. Robert was selected by the Owen Sound Attack in the 7th round and was the 13th goalie selected in the draft. Robert has played with the Stars/Coyotes organization for 5 seasons. The Coyotes would like to congratulate Robert on this accomplishment and wish him continued success!

New Midget 2010 - 2011 Hockey Club Coach

The South Central Coyotes Executive is pleased to announce Wally Bishop as coach of the Midget 2010 - 2011 hockey club. Wally brings a winning track record to the organization and we are excited to have Wally as a part of Coyotes hockey.
